Sign out of your Apple iCloud device

On an iOS Device (iPhone or iPad):

  1. Open the Settings app on your iOS device.
  2. Tap your name or Apple ID at the top of the Settings screen.
  3. Scroll down and tap Sign Out.
  4. Enter your Apple ID password and tap Turn Off to disable Find My iPhone/iPad if enabled.
  5. Select the data you want to keep on your device, then tap Sign Out again to confirm.
  6. You may also be prompted to sign out of services like the App Store or iTunes. Follow the prompts.
  7. Once complete, your device will no longer be connected to your iCloud account.

On a Mac:

  1. Click the Apple menu Apple Logo in the top-left corner of your screen.
  2. Select System Preferences.
  3. Click on Apple ID or iCloud (depending on macOS version).
  4. Click Sign Out.
  5. Enter your Apple ID password and click Continue.
  6. Choose what data to keep on your Mac or remove, then confirm Sign Out.
  7. You may also be asked if you’d like to save a copy of your iCloud data locally—choose accordingly.
  8. After signing out, your Mac will no longer be linked to your iCloud account.
